Parameters.

Bitcrust exposes the parameters listed below. Per-VCO parameters are replicated three times (VCO 1 / VCO 2 / VCO 3). Most parameters are host-automatable and available as MIDI-learn targets; LFO Shape and Retrig are saved with the preset but routed through the engine's state, so they cannot be automated.

Per-VCO parameters

Replicated for VCO 1, VCO 2, and VCO 3.

    Oscillator waveform.

    Mix level into the shared bus. VCO 1 defaults to 100%; VCO 2 and 3 default to 0%.

    Pulse width / duty cycle (active when WAVE = Pulse). 50% is a square wave.

    Envelope attack time. Continuous; interpolates between SID datasheet rungs.

  • DEC≈6 ms..24 s

    Envelope decay time. Continuous; interpolates between SID datasheet rungs.

  • SUS0..100 %

    Envelope sustain level (16 SID rungs).

  • REL≈6 ms..24 s

    Envelope release time. Continuous; interpolates between SID datasheet rungs.

  • SYNCon / off

    Hard-sync this VCO (the slave) to the master picked in the long-press popover. Perceived pitch follows the master; the slave's natural pitch shapes the timbre.

  • MASTERInternal / VCO 1..3 (self excluded)

    Sync source. Internal = a hidden master at this VCO's pitch x Ratio (Korg-style sub-master, ratio-locked sync). VCO N = sync to that sibling VCO's actual tuned frequency, so modulating its FREQ produces a classic envelope-driven sync sweep.

  • RATIO0.5x / 1x / 1.5x / 2x / 3x / 4x / 5x / 7x

    Master frequency multiplier. In Internal mode it sets the master directly relative to this VCO; in VCO-source mode it's a harmonic interval offset on top of the source. Below 1.5x sync is mostly silent because the reset coincides with the natural wave cycle.

  • DETUNE-100..+100 ct

    Fine pitch offset on the sync master.

  • RINGon / off

    Ring-mod this VCO against an internal shadow oscillator. The shadow tracks this VCO's pitch and is independent of the sync master, so changing the ring shape here does not affect SYNC. Long-press (or right-click) RING for the shape popover.

  • DEPTH0..100%

    Dry/wet blend between the un-modulated waveform and the ring-modded waveform. 100% (the default) is the classic SID 'fully ringed' feel; lower values let the carrier sit underneath the modulation.

  • RATIO0.5x / 1x / 1.5x / 2x / 3x / 4x / 5x / 7x

    Frequency multiplier on the ring source. Default 1x is the SID-style same-frequency case (ring source locked to the carrier); non-1x values produce inharmonic partials.

  • DETUNE-100..+100 ct

    Fine pitch offset on the ring source. Small values produce slow beating; larger values smear the modulation across the spectrum.

  • VCFon / off

    Route this VCO through the global VCF.

  • SOLOon / off

    Solo this VCO (mute others).

  • MUTEon / off

    Mute this VCO.

LFO parameters (×3)

Each of the three global LFOs exposes the same set. Tempo divisions when Sync = Tempo: 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/8T, 1/8D, 1/16, 1/16T, 1/32.
